About

Biking at Whitewater Lake, Wisconsin

Ironically, the beginning of Fight Cancer Gifts came when I was at one of the lowest points in my life in my battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.  I was in treatment, had rising medical costs, and my girlfriend and I split up.  Nothing seemed to be going right. I was quite simply, depressed.  I needed something to snap me out of this downward spiral.

As I fought to overcome these adversities, I created my first Art Print.  I liked it. It made me feel good.  The bright, eye-catching bold colors inspired me.  I hung it up and looked at it each day.  A few weeks later I created another and hung that one up too.  I created a couple more and noticed my outlook and attitude start to change.  They were starting to have a positive impact on me which I sorely needed.

I put them in different places in my home and office and the power of positivity started to kick in.  I felt like the little guy at the beach who was tired of sand being kicked in his face.  It was time for me to fight back and reclaim my life the best I could.

I showed them to my friends.  They loved them and suggested I sell them.  The thought of encouraging others in their cancer battles was very appealing.  Through my family history of watching their cancer battles and my own, I know too well the ups and downs of being a cancer patient.   A business idea was born.

The emotional journey after diagnosis is one of the biggest challenges cancer patients face.  These Art Prints are designed with the specific purpose of empowering cancer patients of all ages to stand up against cancer.  Sometimes all we need is a little spark to get motivated and get through the day.  I cannot write enough about the support we need and how much we appreciate it.

At Fight Cancer Gifts we believe in taking the fight back to cancer.  Our Art Prints are bold, colorful, and definitely defiant.  I hope these Art Prints and gear from Fight Cancer Gifts will inspire you or your loved ones when you need that little extra push to keep moving forward when things aren't going your way. I believe in the internal strength of the human spirit because once it is ignited you cannot stop it.

Cheers,

Rick
